THE BEST SWIMMING SPOTS AROUND NICE

Promenade des Anglais, Nice

Overlooking the Baie des Anges, the beaches along the Promenade des Anglais are ideal for a swim in the heart of Nice. From public beaches to private beach clubs, they offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sea while remaining close to the city centre and the Old Town.

Coco Beach, for a more secluded swim

Located on Cap de Nice, Coco Beach offers a more rugged setting, with landscaped rocks and crystal-clear water. Popular with locals, this spot is best enjoyed in the morning or towards the end of the day, when the atmosphere becomes more peaceful.

Marinières Beach, Villefranche-sur-Mer

Just a few kilometres from Nice, Marinières Beach lies in the heart of Villefranche-sur-Mer’s sheltered bay. As the largest beach in the village, it is ideal for combining a swim, lunch by the sea and a stroll through the colourful streets of Villefranche-sur-Mer.

Petite Afrique Beach, Beaulieu-sur-Mer

Fringed by pine trees and nestled beneath the cliffs, Petite Afrique Beach is one of the most picturesque spots near Nice. Its lush setting and bright Mediterranean atmosphere make it a lovely choice for a day by the water.

Paloma Beach, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Set within a verdant setting, Paloma Beach is admired for its views over Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Èze. Between swimming, lunch by the sea and a walk towards Pointe Saint-Hospice, it perfectly captures the elegance of the Riviera.

Mala Beach, Cap-d’Ail

For a more spectacular escape, head to Cap-d’Ail and Mala Beach. This turquoise cove, framed by rocky cliffs, is one of the most beautiful swimming spots on the French Riviera. Reached via a coastal path or a series of steps, its access is part of the experience.
